Dates & Times

  • Monday 4 November – Saturday 9 November 2024: 8:00am – 5:00pm daily

Age Requirements

  • Age is determined as at 31 December 2024 by the youngest player in the team
  • Minimum age for competition is 30 years

Age Divisions

Pairs:

  • Womens – 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+
  • Mens – 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+
  • Mixed – 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+

 Fours:

  • Womens – 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 65+
  • Mens – 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 65+
  • Mixed – 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 65+

Events

  • Men’s and Women’s Pairs: Monday 4 & Tuesday 5 November
  • Mixed Fours: Wednesday 6 November
  • Mixed Pairs: Thursday 7 & Friday 8 November
  • Men’s and Women’s Fours: Saturday 9 November

Fees

Each competitor is required to pay the Games Fee once and then the Sport Fee for each sport in which they register.

Sport Fee

  • Pairs $50 per player, per team
  • Fours $40 per player, per team

Games Fee: 

  • Competitor:
    • Early bird $130 (1 March – 31 May 2024)
    • Saver $145 (1 June – 31 August 2024)
    • Standard $155 (from 1 September 2024)

Payment processing fee: 1.4% (incl GST)

Entries Close

  • Team entries close: Monday 28 October 2024 (11:59pm AEST)
  • Individual entries into existing teams close: Thursday 31 October 2024 (11:59pm AEST)

Additional Information

  • Each team is required to have a team manager who will register your team via the team manager portal prior to any player registrations.
  • Once the team is created, team managers can register players via the team manager portal or individuals can register themselves via the Competitor Entry Form.
  • If you would like to play but do not have a team, please use our Sports Bulletin Board to advertise your availability or search for a team looking for players.
  • Alternatively if your team is short players please use the Sports Bulletin Board to advertise for players or look for available individuals.
  • Depending on entries received some events may be rescheduled to appear on days other than listed.
  • Some divisions may be amalgamated where required however medals will be awarded based on each separate division.
  • 60+ & 65+ Pairs Teams are permitted to have 3 players on their team list and can choose to rotate these players  at any time during the match or also play as a team of 3.
  • Participants may only compete in one (1) gender specific team (i.e. men’s or women’s) and one (1) mixed team per pairs and fours event. (e.g. Men’s 40+ Pairs, Mixed 40+ Pairs, Men’s Fours 40+, Mixed Fours 40+)
  • Teams must be available to play at all times during the scheduled competition times.
  • A maximum of 2 players can be registered in a pairs team. In the event of an injury that prevents a player from continuing, the team will have the opportunity to register a “Replacement Player” providing the player is not already in an existing team.
  • A maximum of 6 players can be registered in a fours team. The “extra” player/s can rotate on and off throughout the match but must notify the Referee to request a substitute. There are no limits to substitutes.
  • Mixed Fours must have a max of two males on the court at any time.
  • In fours competition, if a team has more than one contact on their side of the net, one of those contacts must be by the opposing gender. Therefore, it is a fault if both genders do not touch the ball when two or three hits are used by a team to return the ball to the opposing side of court.
  • Teams must have a minimum of two players in a pairs team and four in a fours team. Teams that do not meet the minimum requirement by Thursday 31 October 2024 (11:59pm AEST) will not be included in the competition draw.
  • Teams are required to complete duties and referees will be used for finals where possible.
  • The Beach Volleyball competition is presented by VballinParadise.
